Ducklings!

We have ducklings! One of our Call Duck hens hatched two adorable little ducklings this past Thursday and so far they are doing very well. We also have three other hens laying/setting. It is an exciting time of year!

A Family Outing

Last week our family went out to Ryan's place and had a great time! I so enjoy the time that we spend together as a family.

Ryan and Dad walking across the field. The grass was planted by both of them earlier this spring.

As we were walking, we discovered many bird nests on the ground hidden in the grass. In one of them that Leah and I saw, the baby Lark Sparrows were just hatching! That was amazing to see! We quickly left the area so the mother could return.

A beautiful Iris that we found blooming on the outskirts of the woods

On the drive to Ryan's place there is a large silo that was located just off of railroad tracks many years ago. Every time that we have driven past it, I've wanted to photograph it and this past trip I was able to! Dad suggested that we stop and everyone was excited to. With storm clouds brewing in the background it made for some interesting photographs.

Seeing these things in nature fills me with awe of God. His hand and power is seen everywhere. "For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse." Romans 1:20. In the intricacies of a woven bird's nest. In the miracle of life as it breaks forth from an egg. In the beautiful delicacy of a flower as it blooms. In the storms, wind and lightning that go forth. To think that in His wisdom, God created it all!
