Hello Miss Sarah!Well, your first give-away! How exciting! Your doll is so adorable! I have been collecting hand-made dolls since I was a little girl...so I'm sort of partial to them!I'm so happy for you that you have ventured into an etsy shop. Some of my friends have done so well...and it's really low key as far as shops go. I've made some wonderful friends from all over through special orders. I just know that you will do well...your dolls are simply precious!I will certainly post about your give-away and your etsy shop on my blog...and I will pray that it will be a successful venture for you. What a blessing when women (young and old) can help their families financially by making things from their homes! We are in the midst of the "big storm"...my husband just called and they've closed the shipyard...which is very rare...so he is on his way home now...if you read this soon...please keep him in your prayers as he travels.Stay warm...and be careful when you shovel all this!Mrs. Laura
Oh,enter me please! Cute Doll!!!

Thank you to all of you who have entered thus far! I have enjoyed reading all of your comments and being able to visit the blogs of those of you who are commenting for the first time here. :) Thank you again, and also for your kind words regarding the dolls! For Betsy - Hmm . . . I wonder why you might like the other doll’s name better??? ;) After we came up with the names for these dolls, I realized that she has the same name as you!For Mrs. Laura – Thank you so much for your kind and encouraging words! You sure know how to uplift and encourage someone. :) I would agree, it is a blessing when women are able to earn a supplemental income from home to help their families . . . that was one thing that was so important to my parents for Leah and I, and especially to my Dad. He has guided, counseled, come up with ideas, and helped us both in so many ways so that we were able to develop the businesses that we have now . . . what a blessing this has been!Once again, we are glad that your husband made it home safely, and we hope that your family weathered the storm all right! For Jaclyn – Welcome to my blog, Jaclyn! And thank you for your encouraging comment. :) I am so glad that you enjoyed your visit here! For Jenna - Welcome, Jenna, and thank you for your sweet comment! Amy is such a dear girl, and it’s always an encouragement to visit her blog. I’m glad that you ‘found’ mine, and I hope you enjoy visiting! I have certainly enjoyed visiting your blog after receiving your comment :), and I will be returning! For Katie Johnson - It was so nice to hear from you again, Katie! I hope the rust stain remover tip will work very well for you if you should ever have need of it. And congratulations on your move to your new home! You all must be so happy and excited! For Lisa - How very special that you still have the doll that your great-grandmother made for you! This little Annie doll probably would make a perfect friend for her. :) Green is one of my favorite colors as well (with blue as my top favorite :), and this fabric is so bright and cheery!

Oh, and where did you get you eyelet from? I can never seem to find any at fabric stores.

It was so nice to hear from you again, Desiree! I have missed your comments :) And your blog posts! I hope you are doing well, and I look forward to visiting your Etsy shop!To answer your question, the eyelet that I used for the doll dresses is all from garage sales and thrift stores. Like you, I haven't been able to find any in the stores any longer. I have started looking some online, and have seen some eyelet on E-bay . . . it's not easy to find, though. Sorry I cannot be more of a help to you with this!
well, she is just an adorable dolly! I don't have daughters, but if i were to win her, I know that most wonderful llittle girl in our church who would make a perfect mommy for her. I recall when I was a girl the few precious dolls that I had, and I still have one that my father gave me when I was about 4yrs old. I am about to turn 54 soon, and wow, I just realized how old that doll is!
