. . . .two homemade pizzas are rising on the counter . . .

  1. Oh yum!!! I love homemade pizza. Actually I love pizza. :) I'll be making homemade pizza for supper on Monday, and your pictures make me even more eager for it. :)

    We love to do stuffed crust pizza to add an extra special element sometimes. We just cut cheese sticks in half lengthwise and fold the dough over them for the crust. Extra yummy! :)

  4. I'm glad that someone enjoys olives on their pizza, Ellen! :) Everyone in my family loves pizza with olives . . . except me. :) I am learning to like them, though. Or at least, to tolerate them. At least on a pizza their flavor isn't too noticeable!

    I just wanted to let you know that I made your pizza crust recipe last night and it was so delicious! I also made a couple of extra crusts and pre-baked them for 8 minutes and then put them in the freezer for next Friday night. Thank you so much for the recipe--it's a keeper! :)

    Oh, and regarding the olives, everyone here loves them except for my husband. He can't stand them plain, but like you, he says he can tolerate them on a pizza or in another dish. His dad hates them, too. It's so funny that all the children will fight over a can of olives and my husband just shakes his head because he can't understand why anyone would like them at all! :)

    That’s funny about the olives . . . it sounds like us here as everyone loves olives except for me. How anyone can like them so much is beyond even my imagination! :)

  7. Oh, I forgot to mention that I used half freshly milled spelt flour and half unbleached flour when I made these. I have been trying to use up some spelt grain that I have a large quantity of. It works wonderfully, and in some things I almost like it better than the whole wheat.

    Thanks again for the recipe! I'm planning to make pizza using the frozen crusts tomorrow. :)

  8. I LOVE homemade pizza!!! I try to make it at least once a month. We like fresh herbs in the crust! ;o) Yours looks super delicious! :o)
