Rain!

Need I say more? :)

It looks like our long drought is finally ending! It started raining early last evening, and it rained all through the night until early this afternoon . . . and it was a good soaking rain, too. We are so thankful to the Lord for it! And with the rainy and chilly day today, it was cozy indoors and perfect for working on projects . . . sewing a skirt, organizing and printing out recipes to add to my recipe binder, planning with Leah the next two week menu and making the grocery list, and then enjoying time with Ryan, Ashley and Adelyn, too (they stopped by this evening for a bit.) Now the animal chores are all finished up, and we're looking forward to a relaxing evening!

  2. Almost 2 inches, that's great! We didn't get that much here, but we did get some and are thankful for that! Cloudy, misty, drizzle, windy all day. Reminds me of England :-)

  4. I was just thinking about you, Amy, and it was so nice to sign in and see a comment from you! Though I was sorry to hear you had a problem with your computer. I am sure you are glad to have it up and working again.

Yes! The rain was wonderful. It had been so long since we have had a good rain like this, and it was very welcome.

I am looking forward to your e-mail! It always brightens my day to hear from you. I hope that you have a wonderful day as well!

  5. I am glad that you all got some rain as well, Mrs. Anne! We were surprised to get as much as we did . . . this past summer the trend seemed to be for the rain to split and go around us and we wouldn’t get any save for maybe a light shower or sprinkle. But not this time! :)

Our weather of yesterday probably is much like England’s weather . . . and isn’t it perfect for working on different craft projects and things? It makes it so cozy indoors. Hope you all are doing well!

  6. It was, Nabila! I am glad that you all got some rain as well . . . it was a dry summer for a lot of the U.S. and the fall rains are definitely welcome.

Even though it must have been a little disappointing to have to postpone your apple picking outing, at least you can have the enjoyment of looking forward to it for a bit longer. :) I can just imagine how much fun you and your children will have when you are able to go! Enjoy!

  7. Your weather is like ours too Sarah. My washing went out this morning in the sunshine....and an hour later it was tipping with rain! I wish it had warned me!

  11. Been there done that with the laundry, Elizabeth! I guess the laundry just gets washed twice. :) Yes, it would be nice if the weather gave a bit of warning sometimes . . . like the time I hung the laundry out on a warmer sunny day, went to town to run errands, and came home to a snowstorm!

  14. How nice, Marie, for you to be enjoying a beautiful week after your week of rainy weather. I know what you mean about it not lasting, though! This time of year the nice weather doesn’t seem to last very long, does it? It’s perfect for crafting, though, and I hope that you enjoy yours as well!
