~ Company ~

Last week, Ryan and Ashley were able to enjoy having her brother and his family come to visit them, and then we had the great pleasure of having them all over Friday evening. It was a wonderful time! From the encouraging and uplifting conversations, to chatting about this, that, and the other, to having fun watching the children, and more.

I was enjoying the time so much that I only rarely thought of my camera . . . and it was always when the two little ones were doing something cute, so they are the only ones I really have photos of. :)

Ashley and Trevor and Thelma's adorable little girl were playing a fun little 'game' with the cloth napkins after the meal . . . not sure exactly what it was, but she sure enjoyed it! So many happy smiles and laughter!

Aww . . . she loves the 'baby' as she calls her

Adelyn intent on one of her favorite toys that her Mommy put a ways in front of her to try to coax her to try crawling . . . she showed us, though, that she can stretch a long ways without moving her body!

And once the toy was in hand, she did her newest accomplishment . . . roll over!

Someone was getting tired and enjoyed a book with her Daddy

Thank you all for coming over! And it was so nice seeing you again, Trevor and Thelma! (And especially visiting with you, Thelma . . . I really enjoyed that.) Hope you all had a safe and enjoyable trip home!

  1. Sarah and family,

    Happy New Year!

I hope you all have a very blessed one in year 2012.

Its so funny watching how little ones will get that toy that is just a bit out of reach and how they can stretch and got it. LOL

I had to laugh when I nannied two little boys and got together with another mom who had a baby almost same age as the baby I was looking after. We put them when they were old enough to move on the floor and One of the babies could only go backwards and the looks on the babies faces as one would go backward and so would end up further from the toys and the other baby would go forward and got the toy.

I also love the different ways that babies crawl.

That is so sweet having family come visiting and how the little ones get together and so sweet to each other and so loving.

  2. Happy New Year Sarah!
How wonderful that Ashley's family was able to visit.
I just love the milestones wee ones make. It's so fun to see them discover new things and the little expressions they make after doing so.

  3. Thank you, Kathleen! I hope that you will have a blessed year as well.

Little ones do have quite a bit of stretchability don’t they?! What a fun memory about the two little babies . . . I had to smile as I read it. I am sure you enjoyed being a nanny and you must have a lot of wonderful memories from that!

It was really nice having family come visit . . . and it was so sweet watching the two little girls together. Cousins meeting for the first time, and they really liked each other!

  4. Thank you, Ellen! It was indeed wonderful. I know that Ryan and Ashley really enjoyed it, and we did, too!

I would agree with you about the milestones children make . . . it was so exciting seeing for the first time her rolling over! And before we know it, she’ll be crawling all around, too. :)

  7. Hey Sarah,
Thank you and your family so much for the wonderful visit and such tasty food. We really enjoyed our time with you. And it was nice that the weather permitted us to ‘tour’ around the grounds.

    May God bless you,
    Thelma

  8. It was, Anna! That is one thought that came to my mind as well . . . last year at this time Isabella was about the same age as Adelyn is now! And next winter, Adelyn will be close to what Isabella is now. It will be so fun to watch her grow!

They are both so cute, and Isabella is precious. We all really enjoyed her! I wish you could have seen her and Adelyn together . . . Adelyn was just fascinated with her, and Isabella kept giving her the cutest little hugs and kisses. It was so sweet!

  10. It was so nice to see a comment from you here, Thelma! Thank you. :) And you are more than welcome . . . we were so glad that you all could come as we enjoyed that time. It was nice, too, that the weather cooperated so that we could spend some time outdoors! Now you all just need to come up in the spring/summer sometime so you can see it when it’s green instead of brown and muddy. :)

Blessings in Christ to you and your family!
