The Things We Do . . .

Rora is not quite sure about this!

We're probably the only ones who have ever given their
goat kids a 'bath' in their kitchen sink!

Having Rora and Lacy inside was a lot of fun, but it did have it's not so pleasant (and sometimes comical) moments . . . like when they made messes in their pen, walked in them, and then climbed all over each other. We had some dirty little goats! Running water, a sink, and a washcloth to the rescue . . .

Lacy was so cooperative!

Soon they were all clean again and glad to be back in their pen running around and playing!

But just recently I was doing that to five puppies. :)

  4. It is, Elizabeth! :) We had to laugh about it as well . . . and the expressions on their faces were rather humorous, too!

  5. I think they were, Mikailah! Though, they didn't exactly like the process getting to that point. :)

    You're welcome for sharing!

  6. You girls are having so much fun with the baby goats!!! I remember putting my babies in the sink for a bath not so long ago~not goat s~actual human babies(He!He!)I miss those days so much!!Sarah~I wanted to purchase somethings during Christmas from your Etsy Shop~but I don't think you got my message. Next time,I will tell you what I want to purchase on your blog!! By the way,I just love Leah's denim quilt. My teenagers just made one out of denim squares. Not as large as Leah's (they got so tired of cutting out the jean squares!)She was a real nice inspiration to them.God bless you and enjoy your baby goats. Rose

  8. We are having a lot of fun with them, Rose! They are really sweet.

I am so sorry that I didn’t receive the message that you had sent! I would have been happy to make something for you. Yes, please do try contacting me next time via e-mail or whatever means you would like. And hopefully it will go through then!

That’s great that your girls just made a denim quilt as well! What a great accomplishment for them! And I’ll have to share with Leah that she was an inspiration to them. :)

Thank you for your kind comment, Rose!

  11. I hadn't seen it before either, Joy! It was rather entertaining. :) I'm glad you enjoyed the photos, and you're welcome!

  12. They were rather calm, Mrs. Anne! Though Rora had her moments of trying to escape. :) The expressions on their faces were so cute, though, while we worked on getting them cleaned!

  13. Oh yes, the things we do...my sweet dog has had many mini baths in the kitchen sink, so I do not think this to be the least bit odd. Seeing Leah hold them puts their size into prospective for me, as my four year old Lhasa Apso is about the same size as your adorable kids. How precious they must be at this stage. I would love to spend an evening watching them play!

  14. Oh the joys of "motherhood"! Any name for the little boy goat yet?!

  15. Thank you for your comment, Renee! After giving our goats a bath in the sink, I can just imagine giving your little dog a bath in one. :) Hopefully your Lhasa Apso is as well-mannered as they were!

Rora and Lacy are about the size of a small dog right now . . . though, are growing quickly. It’s interesting as our little buckling who is two weeks younger than them is already taller than both of them. Yes, they are precious and are a lot of fun, and I know you would love watching them play! They are so entertaining!

  16. Indeed, Rachel! :)

We think we finally came up with a name for the little guy . . . Gunner. While it doesn't really have meaning behind it like Rora and Lacy's names, out of all the names that we came up with (and we came up with a lot), it seems to suit his personality the best. But we're still not entirely sure that it will be the name we stay with!
