Our Little Sunshine

Adelyn having a lot of fun playing with her Grandpa

Her smiles are infectious! As is her laughter . . . which was prevalent during this sequence of photos!

As always, fascinated by her Grandpa's face. :)

Snuggle time with her Grandma . . . one of Mom's favorite things. :)

Aunt Leah and Adelyn enjoying time together . . . Adelyn loves to pull up on things now and is beginning to take side steps, too. It won't be long before she'll be walking!

She is beginning to love to be read to! She was so attentive while I read this book to her (over and over and over . . . :) She even would start to turn the pages if I wasn't reading fast enough!

  1. What a sweetie-pie Adelyn is! And so blessed to have a doting family such as yours.:-)

I cannot get over how much your Mom and Leah look alike, especially in these photos. And by the way, your mom looks very young!:-) Country life must agree with her, and all of you!

I have a little sister who just loves when I read her books. She has a favorite one that she has memorized a few lines: ) I always treasure those special moments when she pulls me aside to read to her!

She really is growing up so fast, Sarah. What a cutie pie she is and such a fun age too.
As for the reading, they love to be read over and over again. I learned that they will memorize it as you read it a zillion times to them and then you will find them picking up the book and sitting alone reading it to themselves. Too cute that is.
Surrounded by so much love she is.

  14. She is, Kathleen! And yes, she is at a fun age and loves to interact with us. It is always so special and enjoyable to spend time with her!

You are right about how quickly children will pick up on the books that are read to them. I remember some little ones that we know thinking that they had learned to ‘read’ when all they had done was memorize the stories that had been read to them so many times! :) It’s wonderful when children can develop a love for books at such a young age.

  15. Adelyn has grown such a lot! And she is so precious and cute – such beautiful smiles! :D I also note that she has at least two little teeth. :-) How old is she now? She must be nearing her first birthday. What a blessing she has been to your family!

  17. She has, Anna! And I would wholeheartedly agree with all that you shared. :) Yes, she does have two teeth on the bottom, and she has one on the top now, too, and another trying to poke through. She is just about 11 months old now . . . her first birthday is right around the corner! Yes, indeed, she has been a wonderful blessing to our family!
