~ Sisters ~

The temperature was hot, the sun was shining brightly, Dad and Mom had gone for a drive together, and Leah and I decided to head outside despite the heat and to enjoy some time together. My camera came along, and before long, we had an impromptu photo shoot . . . and a great deal of fun. :) Below are some of the photos that we captured of each other . . .

Me

And Leah

And this is what happens when the photographer keeps snapping photo after photo when the subject doesn't realize it. :)

Wildflowers . . . my favorite type of flower

Sisters . . . and best of friends

Leah

"A merry heart doeth good like medicine" . . . and I can guarantee that if you are around Leah for much length of time, your heart will be cheered and made merry. She always seems happy! And she spreads that happiness (and yes, laughter, too :) to those around her.

I am so blessed to have Leah as my sister!

  1. I always enjoyed when you do family post entries. They're my favourite especially when you talked about your sister Leah & your relationship with her. Like you, I am so blessed to have Hannah & Deborah as my sisters. I love all the photos of you & Leah. Maybe this summer, I'll convince my sisters that we go somewhere and have our photos taken too. Hmm, maybe during our family vacation in August? :)

  13. You're very blessed, indeed! These as wonderful and lovely portraits, Sarah! Both Leah and yourself did a fabulous job capturing these images. How sweet it must be to have a sister (and a brother, too) that you are close with. As an only child, I have always wondered what that would be like, even now as an adult.

  24. Thank you so much for your comment, Mom! It meant so much. And thank you for cultivating the closeness that Leah and I share with one another. I still can remember those days when we were little after having a fight together how you would have us sit on the floor and touch noses until we could be nice to each other again. How many times did those ‘episodes’ end in us finally laughing and making up?! And I also remember all of those papers we had to write about "what I like about my sister" :) . . . oh, the memories!

Thanks to you and to Dad and to the Lord we have the special relationship that we do! Love you!
